Project results presented on 9th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management in Corfu

Presentation entitled "Thermomechanically modified ground tire rubber/zinc borate compositions as fillers for flexible polyurethane foams" presented on 9th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management in Corfu.

Aleksander Hejna presented the results of the work dealing with the performance of prepolymer-based flexible foamed polyurethane/ground tire rubber composites. Applied GTR material was thermomechanically modified with inorganic zinc borate particles in twin-screw extruder. It was proven that the proposed method of GTR thermomechanical treatment assisted by zinc borate particles might benefit the performance of flexible PU foamed composites, which could broaden the application range of GTR and provide novel ways for its efficient utilization.
