Paulina Kosmela PhD is responsible for the Stages II and III of the project - Obtaining polyurethane-rubber composites with improved damping properties and Reduction of flammability and smoke generation of polyurethane-rubber composites. She is developing and adjusting foams' formulations to optimize the processing of polyurethane/ground tire rubber composites and provide them properties enabling their future industrial applications. Aims of the works are enhancement of the interfacial interactions between polyurethane matrix and ground tire rubber particles, as well as reduction of composites' flammability and smokeability, which would enable their application after meeting the proper fire safety criteria.
